MegaPlast Launches New Mezzo Airless Dispenser

MegaPlast introduced the new Mezzo line, a top-fill airless dispenser available in three sizes: 30ml, 50ml and 75ml. The pump has a patented double valve system and three different actuators are available: one of them has a self-sealing membrane in the orifice and offers protection against contamination. Silgan Plastics Introduces Niagara Round

Silgan Plastics introduced its new 250ml (8.45 fluid ounce) Niagara PET (polyethylene terephthalate) bottle suitable for a wide variety of personal care products, including shampoos, hand soaps, conditioners and lotions. The bottle features an hourglass shape that makes it convenient to hold even when wet, and is available in clear, stock or custom colors. New Products from Continental

Continental Packaging Solutions introduces the convenient and versatile Option Pak. The new oval container series is suitable for wipes, powders, and other sundries. Four container sizes are available: 2-, 4-, 6- and 8-inch, and lids come in towelette dispensing, pour and combination. Option Pak can also be manufactured in HDPE, PP, HDPE or a combination of resins.
    
The Cylinder Pump has an overhead cap that pops up with one quick twist for dispensing, and after use, the top twists back down in place. There are no caps to fumble with, and virtually no chance of spilling valuable product. The Cylinder Pump is available in three sizes (15ml, 30ml, 50ml), three body styles (clear, frosted, opaque) and two head styles (gold and silver). Product families are a perfect fit for this line.

The Dual-Chamber Sprayer contains separate chambers for two fills and a dial mechanism that allows the user to customize the amount of each product dispensed.  The dial is simply turned to the setting of choice, resulting in tailored amounts of product dispensed from each pump. The Dual-Chamber Sprayer can be customized through different sizes and exterior colors, and is available with different-sized chambers.     

Originally designed for lip balms, the Oversize Push-Up Stick lends itself to other uses such as sunblock and adhesives.  The wide orifice promotes generous application area, and a unique loop in the cap allows the stick to be hooked to bags, strings or hooks. Alcan Creates Mini-Palette

Alcan Packaging Beauty launched a SAN/ABS mini-palette for lipgloss or eye shadow. Just twist to reveal each of the three compartments in turn as they line up in front of the shell window.
The smart little pack (just over 2 inches long) fits into any handbag. When closed, its mechanism gives optimum protection for all poured or cup-held make-up products. The modern, convenient Round Tray has a built-in foam applicator hidden in the center of the cylinder. A brush version is also available. It can be decorated with an accessory of choice—tassel, chain, etc.—and adapted to a brand image. Its ergonomic, snap-on handle ensures a safe grip. Primera’s Personal Care Labels

Primera Technology’s new LX400 Color Inkjet Label Printer prints full-color images and photos on labels. Print resolution is photo-quality at 4800 dpi and printed labels are waterproof and scratchproof. Many small cosmetic manufacturers and private labelers use the LX400 to print box-end and primary product labels. Large manufacturers use the LX400 to print labels for market testing. Ampacet Gives PET Packaging Reflective Metal Look

Ampacet has introduced LiquidMetal Colors, a new effect line that gives packaging made with blow molded and extruded polyethylene terephthalate (PET) the look of highly reflective metal. The LiquidMetal line encompasses six metal colors: brass, chrome, copper, black onyx, graphite and gun metal blue.  It was developed to meet the call for high-end plastic packaging that replicates polished metal for cosmetics, skin- and hair-care products and other health and beauty aids. Ameri-Seal Prints PETG Sleeves for Hair Care Market

The newest printed PVC heat shrinkable sleeve from Ameri-Seal, Inc. for the hair care market is Samy Big Curls by Samy Media. Two different sleeves were printed, one for the U.S. hair-care industry and the other for the Canadian market. The sleeves were printed on rotogravure presses in six colors each.  PVC heat shrinkable film was used for the application, and the sleeves are applied to the bottles at Ameri-Seal’s contract sleeving division in Chatsworth, CA. M&H Has a Big Bunch of Squares

M&H Plastics has released the new Soho Squares, designed for any hair or body care range looking for a premium point of difference impact on the shelf. Manufactured in HDPE, the range of square bottles includes a 250-, 150- and 75ml.  There is also a 75ml jar in PP to complement the line.
